My love of painting originates from my admiration of the old masters. I have always been attracted to the golden age of painting and for many years I sought to emulate the techniques and practices of the old masters. These paintings represent my search for understanding traditional painting technique. While my practice is currently in a different direction, the admiration and knowledge of the old masters remains core to my painting.
